I am really thankful that I was able to hack Snapchat with the help of an app that I learned about. We had a feeling our daughter was headed toward trouble, and her father and I needed to find out what was going on. I had not seen the trouble coming, but once I learned of it, I had to get to the bottom of it, Our daughter kept shutting me and her father out, though. This was all a very new situation to us, and we are just incredibly grateful that we finally got it all sorted out after talking to other parents about what we should do.
Our daughter is 14 years old. We also have a son who is 20 years old, and he is in college. Because he is much older than she is, the two of them have never been super close. I know that many other parents have kids who are close in age, and often, one of the kids knows when one is in trouble and can alert the parent. That never happened with our kids until recently when our son said that he learned that one of his 20 year old friends was very interested in dating our daughter and had been chatting with her for a month. She tried to ignore us any time we questioned her about it.
My husband and I decided that we needed to be more vigilant. Our little girl was refusing to share info with us, and we wondered if this older boy, who was a friend of our son, needed to be stopped. We learned from some other parents that you can use a program that you can download to read Snapchat messages. We used it, and we learned that our daughter already had a time in place set to sneak out with this older boy. So, we have stopped that, and averted a crisis early on.
